►Stem is the aerial part of the plant. It bears branches,leaves,flowers and fruit.

► Bears Nodes and internodes

► Leaves rise from nodes

Major Functions of The Stem
❍ It conducts water, minerals and photosynthesis
❍ Some stems performs the function of storage food, support, protection and vegetative propagation


Reproductive Parts


► The flower is the reproductive part of plant

► The stalk of the flower is called pedicel and the swollen part  is  called thalamus.

► Typical Complete flower consists of Calyx.\, Corolla, Androecium, Gynaecium

► Incomplete flower is some floral parts as sepal or petals are absent
